REV IN THE WORLD OF RACING

TEAM PENSKE PARTNERSHIP CREATES COMPANY MOMENTUM

Many of REV Group’s vehicle brands have long served the racing industry

For decades our fire trucks and ambulance brands have stood at the ready at these racing events, while REV shuttle buses transported racing fans from parking lot to grand stand and back again. Parked in these same nearby lots, many American Coach RVs have been home to the most memorable tailgating parties.

Let’s just say there’s something about a revved-up engine that tugs at our heartstrings.

To continue to nudge the REV name and American Coach brand into the racing spotlight, our company entered into a multi-year partnership with Team Penske in early February of 2016. With IndyCar bouts and NASCAR races under our belts, these events have been key to thanking our most loyal supporters. And at the same time, our motor coaches have attracted the attention of top drivers in the industry. Racing Team Penske stars Helio Castroneves and Ryan Blaney both drive American Coach Eagle RVs!

Here’s a look at some of 2016’s racing highlights:

MARCH 7, 2016

A CUSTOM COACH FOR AN INDY 500 WINNER

A crowd of more than 800 REV Recreation Group employees gathered at Decatur, Indiana’s Plant 44-2 to celebrate one of the most unique coach unveilings in company history. With the smell of automotive paint still lingering in the air, the buzz of everyday factory life came to a stall, allowing REV employees an opportunity to present three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves with his own custom American Coach — an American Eagle 45T.

APRIL 2, 2016

IN THE PHOENIX GRAND PRIX GLOW

On the heels of Castroneves’ coach unveiling, REV followed the Indy 500 star to Phoenix, Arizona, where REV was the main sponsor of Castroneves’ No. 3 Chevrolet during April 2’s VERIZON IndyCar Series Phoenix Grand Prix. In celebration of the sponsorship, REV hosted a two-day VIP event for 60 guests. Even though the REV logo didn’t make an appearance in Victory Lane, REV shared in Castroneves’ winning pole position and April Fools’ shenanigans.

LET THE NASCAR RACING BEGIN

Following the Phoenix sponsorship, REV shifted gears to NASCAR racing. The REV Group logo was sported on Joey Logano’s No. 22 Ford Mustang during Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 200 NASCAR XFINITY Series race on May 14. While Logano didn’t reach the podium, he created a stir among a second batch of REV VIP guests as he crept into third place after Lap 81 before getting stuck in the low lane to finish seventh.

MAY 17, 2016

ANOTHER AMERICAN COACH HANDOVER

The REV Recreation Group unveiled yet another custom American Coach to one of Team Penske’s drivers, Ryan Blaney, considered one of the most promising young stars in the Sprint Cup Series as he battles for Rookie of the Year honors. Blaney will travel to future race-day events in an American Eagle Heritage Edition with Espresso Onyx interior décor. The 45A floorplan features a custom paint design in metallic silver with touches of REV red and black.

UP NEXT …

There’s plenty more in store for REV and its brands with three more NASCAR races to look forward to (Aug. 6 at Watkins Glen International, Sept. 9 at Richmond International Speedway and Nov. 19 at Homestead-Miami Speedway). At these upcoming races, REV will continue to sponsor Team Penske’s No. 22 Ford Mustang. Stay tuned! Here’s to hoping we’ll see the REV logo in Victory Lane soon …
